Before first use, you’d better isolation the solar panel for two days, then connect the cable and insert into the earth, for better effective. And the device have built in low battery detection and warning. If raining days continuously, the batteries do not have enough power, the Red LED light will be flashing, then customers can use the adapter or use the charger to charge the batteries separately.
Check the ground surface before using it. Frozen soil, irrigated or waterlogged ground is not suitable. Dig a hole into solid earth to place the device. No hammer should be used in installation. No excessive force should be applied lest the device be damaged.
Solar Animal Deterrent Additional Information Relative to Ultrasonic: The ultrasonic is really powerful to scare efficiently. It happens that human can hear part of its range (especially young people and children). So put the device as far as possible from human life place to avoid annoyances. Don't install this device in a children and baby playing ground area.

When Animals enter the protected area, the product emits a strong ultrasonic sound and LED flashing which frightens, irritating and annoys the intruding animals like deer, raccoon, rabbits, dogs, cats, birds, possums and other animals away from gardens, lawns, pond and landscaped areas without hurting them.
Two PIR sensor built in the front and back side make the device automatically emit strong Ultrasonic sound and LED flashing from both sides if both sides triggered, double affection..
At the bottom of the device you will find a switch of 3 options.
Mode 0: OFF.
Mode I: Strong ultrasonic wave is 24 hours working, LED flashing was controlled by Light-Dependent Control (just work at night).
Mode II: Strong ultrasonic wave and flash, 24 hours working.
Works day and night without chemicals. Safe and easy-to-use alternative to chemical repellents and electric fences.
Powered by separate adjustable solar panel and 3*AA size rechargeable batteries or 5V adaptor.
Sweeping Frequency: 19kHz-30kHz.
Detection range: around 8 to 9 meters.
